yes - we were originally going to get him an ipod to replace the one that was stolen, and she was going to get him the radio you can connect it to - but he figured out I was going to get him an Ipod and he told me not to - he didn't want it - so when she called to find out - I had to tell her get somehting else...

He's so difficult...

I called her, but that's because we're spending Christmas there and I just ordered the gift online and had it shipped to her house.

no, but we dont really talk much so i got him what i did, we never really had a problem witht the same presents luckily tho

I talk to FI mom a lot. I actually gave her most of the ideas to give him and a lot of the gifts she gives him are actually for us so that's kind of cool. She also gives me money and I do all the clothes shopping for him from her.

you lucky... every christmas his family ef's me over!!! EVERY XMAS.. but this yr he is spending it in the desert... and will be w/me first so I dont care if they get any of the same things... i am not exactly on the best of terms with his mom...

trust me i know how u feel

what i do is he usually gets his gifts from me first anyway,

ive tried a coupld times to say what i was getting him only for it to happen that she would get him what i got him AFTER i told her and it was just an issue that didnt need to be

I did not call her.. she did send our daughter a gift and one for us as well....We will call them on Christmas day

I do feel for you.. one xmas .. she LITERLLY stole my gift.. she kept inching her way in and said how about we get it as a together gift.. i was like FINE.. i am tired of you asking who is getting him what and repeating myself as to what i was getting... she insisted on ordering it and me paying her back so it wasnt on my CC... then like the 23rd or 24th.. she was like we were talking about it and decided to give it as a gift from his family (her and syblings!) OMG!!!! i went hysterical crying to FH - he knew i was getting it - and was like WHAT!!! i wound up gettin git back.. but then she wanted other stuff i bought him for her to give to him.. hello SHOP FOR YOUR SELF! not my fault they all waited til last minute!.. UGGGG... NEVER AGAIN!!!!

to be sure we arent getting him similar things. I would think that is what people do.

How about if she was coming to your home for the holidays? Would she call you to see what to bring? My FMIL won't call our home and she has called fh to discuss what she plans on bringing.... not even checking with me to see whehter I am already making something or even saying 'what can I bring' instead of 'this is what I am bringing.'

Ha! Here is one for you... I had ordered something for ust to use at the beach and I had it delivered to her home because i don't like things being delivered to our apartment. Well.... we went to her home about 2 weeks later for his birthday and guess what, she hands him a gift she had wrapped herself and when he opened it, it was the item I had ordered!!! Everyone thought the gift was sooo cool and she DID NOT give me credit for being MY PURCHASE on MY CREDIT CARD. LOL LOL LOL
