Re: NWR-Vent

You'll be alright. I just started my workout and my fitting is 5 weeks before my wedding. If I can survive through Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, anyone can

Re: NWR-Vent

What's the matter with you? Are you insane??! You are a beautiful woman and you are far from an overweight blob!!! I am way bigger than you and I found a gorgeous dress that I loved. Remember I was feeling the same way and you told me to just go and the dresses on. There is a dress out there for everyone of us. Now stop being silly and remember that you are a beautiful, confident, extraordinary woman.

thank you Aida.

Sylvia you must be MAD...you are gorgeous! you better get your booty into some dresses PRONTO! however, if you are feeling not your best, you have enough time to SLOWLY tone up and loose a few pounds without doing anything drastic. if you are a member of a gym, get your butt there too!

Re: NWR-Vent

I HAVE TO lose weight before my dress comes in, because it will be too tight on my hips & butt if I don't. They ordered a size that is technically smaller because I am in the process of losing weight. I should have just gone with bigger size since alterations are included in the price of my dress. But don't worry - you'll be fine - dresses come in all sizes at the store...and even if they don't fit - you can still get a vision of how they might look. Just go an start looking!!

Re: NWR-Vent

Thank you for all of your kind words. Thats exactly what I was looking for However, I seriously have to get a grip on myself since when I put one of the dresses on, my back started 'overflowing' the dress...and it was a size 14!

Sylvia-

You are beautiful! Don't forget that wedding dresses are far from true to size!

Most wedding dresses are two sizes smaller than your regular size, some are even more. You'll be fine. You have plenty of time to lose some weight before the 'final' fitting.

Re: NWR-Vent

Sylvia darling DO NOT make me plow through this computer and smack you. You are fine the way you are - BEAUTIFUL.

I can relate to how the sizing of dresses makes a bride feel. I struggled with weight for most of my life and after reaching a size 8/10 I was very pleased with my accomplishments. When I was told I had to order my dress in a 14, it pi$$ed me off but I had to tell myself that the bridal sizes of today are the same sizes that existed more than 10 or 20 or even 30 years ago. My sister saved a size ten pair of jeans from the 70s and it didn't go up one of my legs. Ignore it and accept yourself for the beauty that you are!

Woman, my dress is in and it doesn't even fit me!!! (Leslie can attest to this) so can you imagine how I feel!!!

I'm bigger than you and you are not fat at all, so don't stress!!! You will find something that will look stunning on you!!!

Re: NWR-Vent

my dress came in, and I just tried it on...I am a 16 in dresses , and the sidezipper kind, which are even harder to have fit. I TOTALLY understand how you feel, I call myself fatty fatty McFatty....YET..I keep eating. I need to eat lettuce the entire month of January, HAHAHHA

but hang in there, you will do fine! Try to feel good about yourself, and ignore dress size, it's usually TWO sizes bigger than you really are...AT LEAST!

Re: NWR-Vent

SHUT UP!!
I don't want to even hear such harsh words! You're beautiful and compassionate and sweet and-and-and- I could go on but..what would Michael think
Anywhoooo.. Please don't make yourself over dress sizes, they looove to order dresses 5 sizes too big for you so they can justify the rediculous alteration fees.
Take a break these few days, after the holidays get a move on with the dress shopping. You told me at the GTG what type a dress you're looking for,the way you described it reminded me of some Mon Cheri's I saw while shopping for myself.
Keep us posted.

I will start cutting down on din din and I will go dress shopping in January since my MOH and my mom (the last two people I ever thought would do this) are dragging me out to get my dress!
