Ceremony Music

I was wondering if you girls can share what music you are going to use for your ceremony.

Re: Ceremony Music

For the bridal party, I'm having the girls walk to read for Love by India Aire (if I have a quartet then the instrumental version). I also am interested in having a harp play the traditional bridal March.

Re: Ceremony Music

Most girls think about their dress when they dream about their wedding day... I've had the music planned for my Wedding Mass for years! :) I have a lot of experience singing at weddings, in choirs, etc. and I studied music in college so if anyone wants some suggestions or advice, feel free to FM me.

Some suggestions, lovely pieces, but a bit overdone in my opinion, but they are traditional wedding fare:

Pachelbel's Canon in D
Schubert's Ave Maria
Bach's Ave Maria
Bridal March: Mendelssohn
Bridal March: Wagner
Franck: Panis Angelicus

Re: Ceremony Music

As of now, I plan on having:

Canon in D
Wedding March
Ave Maria
Our Lady of Knock
One Bread, One Body

I'm sure I'll want more when I think about it more.

Re: Ceremony Music

We were a little traditional and untraditional at the same time DH and I love classical and Opera and incorporated it into our ceremony.

Family and Bridal Party - Bach - Air for the G String

DH - O Soave Fanciulla (La Boheme)

Our ring bearers and jr. attendants - We used a piece of music from the finale of Act 1 of Mozart's Magic Flute

Me - Pachabel's Canon

Recessional - Wedding March from the Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (we got engaged after a performance of this opera)
