Day of Wedding Consultant - Need Advice

is anyone hiring one? Is it worth the money after you did all the hard work of planning yourself? Anybody know the price range?

I was considering hiring someone, but my budget is even tighter since I had to add an extra day for my HM.

Everyone's opinion on this is different. IMHO, after all the hard work planning I don't won't to worry about it all coming together correctly the day of. I want someone else to do that worrying for me. Enter my DOC. My budget is also very, very tight. So tight in fact, that I've been collecting all the soda bottles from everyone at work to bring to the supermarket for the darn nickel to add to the wedding bank account.

Price range varies with the service. I received quotes between $400 and $1000.

Thanks... you are so right

Thats so funny about the cans.. My sister did the same exact thing. She went around to all her family and freinds and collected all tehre bottles and cans. Her trunk was full, then she was to embarrassed to do it. So i stepped up to my MOH duties and did it for her.

Re: Day of Wedding Consultant - Need Advice

Yeah, I am. I did all of the planning and research myself but I'm getting a coordinator for day of. Not that I don't think the maitre'd will do a his job and not that we couldn't all handle it, but sort of as a safety net and so I don't have to worry and burden BP with remembering ANYTHING. I've spent enough $ on this, IMO it is worth it to ensure the day goes perfectly.

BTW price range of $400 - $1000 seems right, I'm paying right in the middle for DOC.

Re: Day of Wedding Consultant - Need Advice

I hired a day of because I am nervous about my hall (it's under new management). Also, for all the $$ I am spending on the day, I don't want to know about any problems that may pop up. I want someone to tell me where to go and what to do so I can concentrate on enjoying myself!!!
