OMG, so feakin' rude
On my friendster profile, I put a picture of my ring as my pic, like how it is in my avatar, and my supposedly 'best' guy friend (background, he hasn't done anything with his life since graduating from college, and is gay and can't meet anyone ever)...wrote me the rudest e-mail...His e-mail:
subject: your picture is disgusting
e-mail: you've become one of those disgusting japs that we hated in college. Uhg, you make me sick by that picture..
My reply: It's only disgusting to you for reasons that do not need to be said. If you want an invite to the wedding, think before you type.
He's always been jeaous and rude (displaying it by obnoxious comments), but this really cut the cake, and totally caught me off guard. I honestly do not want to invite him to the wedding, unless he seriously apologizes.
Some people always try to rain on your parade.

I just looked at the picture of your cat and it made me smile. I love kitties.
Poor slob is right. I didn't even mention that since college he's gained literally 100 pounds, but I would never ever say anything mean to him about it. He has A LOT of nerve. He always has, but I've come to a point in my life where I do not need destructive friends. I have a wonderful fiance, and few great close friends in my bridal party, and that's all I need.

Re: OMG, so feakin' rude
you know what.. if you want to put picture after picture after picture of your ring and your wedding and any other frickin picture you want, them go right ahead!! you should be proud and happy to have a man that loves you and wants to marry you, and you know all to well that when you say that you are engaged the first thing people say is : oohh let me see your ring!' so your saving yourself the hassle.. hahah good luck with the outcome

By the way, I love the pic of your ring. And thanks about the kitties..they are lovey faces! I couldn't live w/o them. They are fat cats!
BTW-love your choice of venue! We had the same caterers.

Re: OMG, so feakin' rude
I have had friends like that - the hardest thing was to let them go - but I started to wonder - what kind of friend says things like that????If a total stranger said or did somehting to me that some of my previous friends did, I would have nothing to do with them - so, I had to regard my 'friends' in that way...
Sad, but such is life...

Re: OMG, so feakin' rude
LOL, yea that's what my fmil said, he's probably upset because he wanted a ring for himself.Yea, we actually went to Binghamton together. He's a mean, bitchy man. He ended up writing me back saying a whole long rationalization, oh, I thought you were changing, I wanted to knock you back into reality. Then, he got angry about me saying I might not invite him to the wedding. He even said that we've had fights before and I've never reacted like this, he doesn' t know why. I wrote him back saying he was a miserable person and I didn't buy a word he said.
Thanks everyone for validating that this is NOT normal...

Re: OMG, so feakin' rude
No, you are completely right. I've ben trying to get rid of him for years. It's been so hard. I thought the days of his rude insults were behind us, but they are not. It's weird, I don't want him to come to the wedding, but I do not know how to not invite him because I have known him for so many years. I just don't need this BS/drama in my life. This is a toughie. how much can I forgive for the price of our friendship
