Registering Question...
When did you decide was a good time to register? Also where did you register?I got a call from a friend who asked where I was registered and I told her I wasn't yet. She got me a little nervous when she squealed 'What do you mean your not registered yet????'
The truth is, I wasn't even sure if I was going to register. I mean, I'm a pretty low key person...and its not like I think I'm going to have a bridal shower or anything. But is this really something I should do???

Re: Registering Question...
don't get too worried about what other people suggest! we registered at bed bath and beyond, crate and barrel, and simon pearce. we did it a few weeks ago since our engagement party is coming up.

Re: Registering Question...
we partially registered at BB&B and williams&sonoma. you should just do it, people are going to want to get you gifts. i probably will finish registering in the next couple months, sometimes the stuff in the store changes anyways, so if you register super early you spend all your time updating it!

I'm getting married right before you and I'm actually going to register today
I was going to wait, but a few people have asked what I was waiting for.

Re: Registering Question...
I can totally relate to what you're saying!Everyone wanted us to register immediately when we got engaged and we didn't..we just were not INTO registering and the whole idea of a shower, gifts, etc. We have since realized that people just want to share this happy time with us and celebrate, so I no longer think we're being selfish or anything by registering.I am a pretty low-key person too and I'm started to get really excited for my shower even tho I'm nervous b/c I HATE being the center of attention (at least at the wedding, FH will be there!)
For engagement gifts, people gave us things like money, cake knives set, and FILs got us a desperately needed new mattress. And it was ok. If people got all of our engagement gifts off of the registry I seriously don't know what else we would have registered for now! That's just us, not that you shouldn't do it.

Re: Registering Question...
As soon as we were engaged everyone asked where we were registered too. So we registed at Bed, Bath & Beyond and none of our engagement gifts were from there. Go figure!

Re: Registering Question...
I just registered, and I wish I had registered sooner...because people started getting us gifts for x-mas.We're at Bed Bath and Beyond and Macys.
Start early because I'm sure you'll be updating every now and then

Re: Registering Question...
My Aunt's are being kind enough to throw me a bridal shower, so it was suggested that I register soon. We'll be going to JCPenney's and Bed Bath and Beyond. It's never too early to register, and you can always update your list on-line if you want to add/remove items.

Re: Registering Question...
We registered early because my FH gets a rush out of it. He's the cook. We've received a lot of things off of it for birthdays, holidays, and our engagement. We keep adding as we go along.
