How did you ask your MOH and BMs to be in the bridal party?

My girls are in different states. I was going to send a card but now think that maybe I should tell them all in person...how did you ask yours and what did you do?

I asked them in different ways.

Two that were out of state I asked over the phone because I was too excited to wait.

I asked my cousin over the phone, even though I was having dinner with her 2 days later, because my mom made me.

My other two, came into town to visit and I took them for lunch and asked them together. I asked them last (obviously) and it was great to see their faces!

I had cookies made in the shape of dresses, with their initial monogrammed in icing. I put it in a little bag, with a tag that said something about how they meant to me, and asking them to be in the wedding. You could mail something like this...

my bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid are my FH sister and goddaughter so i asked them first when we were upstate on vaca which is where they live.. i asked his sister permission first if i could have her daughter just in case. My two maids of honors i asked separetly.. the one i wrote a poem and put it in a card and asked her at our engagment party. My other was not able to make it to this party so I asked her separetly as soon as I saw her when she came to visit our new apartment. It was soo much fun doing that part and seeing their reactions!
