How far before the wedding do you send out invites?

I'm sure this was asked before, but I can't remember. I am going to make the RSVP 3 weeks before, but I am not sure when to send the invites. TIA!

I'm sending mine out in late March for a late June wedding (3 months prior) and making the RSVP for 1 month before.

We sent ours out 8 weeks before the wedding and our RSVP was 3 weeks before.

Sending them out in the start of Feb, with rsvp for mid-March.

Sending mine out 8 weeks before the wedding and making the RSVP 4 weeks before the wedding. I gave myself a lot time between the RSVP and the wedding because I anticipate needing the time to chase after people that won't RSVP - UGH!!!

Sending mine out around Feb. 10th for a March 11th RSVP for an April 30th wedding.

Even though we can give a head count up to 3 days before, I want to have time to do seating, placecards, etc. and time to call the late senders!!

Yes, I believe its three months before wedding and one month to RSVP. It doesn't take long for invites to come in.

Wedding: April 1
RSVP: March 1 (Make sure you give yourself enough time to call the people that can't check a box and drop in the mail)

Sending out: January 20

We are sending them out 9-10 weeks before, with an RSVP 1 month (and a few days) before. I heard you should send them out 8-10 weeks before (since we are the Saturday after the 4th of July, we wanted to lean towards 10 weeks).

I think I am going to mail them out the week of March 13th or 20th and have an RSVP of April 28th, one month before the wedding. Its a holiday weekend, so I want to give people plenty of notice, even though we did send STD's last June.

Wedding Date - 7/9
RSVP Date - 6/1
Mail Domestic Invites - 5/1
Mail International Invites - 4/15

I figure the domestic invites will arrive in early May. I don't want to give my guests too much time to sent back the RSVP card b/c then they will get lazy and not send it. I don't expect the international guest to send it back to me so I am just going to call them in early June.
