I haven't been posting much, but NEED HUGS....A LITTLE UPDATE BELOW...

Need hugs...in a BAD slump about the wedding and money...not sure how we're going to pay for this!!! I know there are others out there with this same dilemma, but how do you deal with this?? I am freaking out over here!!! I am looking at our monthly bills and the money we need for the wedding and honeymoon and... FH is so nonchalant about this! Can anyone offer advice???? I know we set up a budget and have done well with staying it, but it's been hard saving $$. I have been putting $ away, but it just doesn't seem to be enough now!!!

Jill, trust me, this is NORMAL! Especially because you're at that 5 month mark where you have no idea where the money will come from...it's coming and you will be fine. I was the same way around this time (I even posted saying how I was scared)...somehow, it appears...it all works out! You have a budget and like you said have been sticking to it, so don't fret. It'll be fine...I promise!

We're in the same boat. Worst case scenario, we will have to take out cash against our credit cards, but I am hoping it will not come to that.

I am not spending a dime on anything extra curricular after Jan. 15th. Everything is going into bills, necessary groceries and the wedding.

I've been bringing in lunch and drinking water left and right (saves me money & calories!!)

I've also just been taking what I need out of the bank, so that stops me from spending any extra.

Totally understand what you're going through. With what we're saving and what we're spending, there isn't going to be enough. I think about this everyday while my FI says it'll work out along with everyone else but it just gives me such a knot in my stomach.

I know how you feel!! What we figured is if we find ourselves short of money, we can put some things on a credit card, or take out a small loan and then use $$ we get from the wedding to pay off the credit card/loan. We are close to what we will need but might be off by a little, so we wouldn't be putting tons on a credit card, just a little to get us over the hump.
Don't worry, everything will work out

Janna-Yes, SAME boat...also about 'Aunt Flo', she's due here on Tuesday!

I have been lazy about putting FH on a budget, but he needs it BAD...he is one who says 'I need to have money in my pocket'...bad thing is he spends it!!!

Again, thank you all for listening...I realize alot of us are in the same boat...you have all put me at ease some. Thanks!!!

I totally understand how you feel. Although our families are helping pay for the wedding, much more is falling on FH and I than I ever anticipated. We just did our budget and I have no idea how we are going to do it unless we hit the lotto. Sometimes I really worry and secretly wish we decided to do a much more scaled down version of our big day. I know in the end it will all work out but every time I think about how much everything costs it makes my stomach hurt. Just wanted to let you know I can relate and I'm hear to listen to your vents!

WE me and fh totaly understand I just had to make an itemized list for him and well he is pale white now...but we have time and we new this was going to be $$$$ we are cutting back thats all you can do.

I wish you all the best of luck with all your $$$ probelms. We all let it work out inthe end some how.

I can totally sympathize!!! I have a budget that I check on every day!!! How obsessive is that!!!

I am budgeted for every paycheck from now to the wedding!!! Which is only 8!!! I'm even counting on the check I get on my wedding day!!! (really the day before) That's how tight we are. Stay strong and if you don't have a budget, I suggest you do one immediately. You can pretty much figure out what you need, and how much you need to save prior to. HTH!!!!

So I broke all our bills down and talked to FH and he agreed to give up his debit card until at least after the wedding. I am putting us both on a MORE strick day-to-day budget. Our wedding budget is on track, it's just hard to see where all the $$$ is going to come from!!!

We are in the same boat, plus we just found out that our son needs $3000 worth of testing that insurance WON'T cover. Urrggghhh!!!!!! And we have missed the last TWO payments on our hall. We are praying that the return on our taxes will get us back on track and I know it is easy to become obessessed, but at the end of the day I just tell myself that if I married my FI on the roof of our building I would be just as happy. Having said that, someone please pass me a valium. LOL.

Dave and I were talking about this last night. It's my debt we're worried about.. I'm doing my best to clean everything up before the wedding, and trying to save money. Here's some hugs.. I know we all need them!!
