Sonicstef - the one year countdown begins!
Only 365 more days left. (We share the same day) Is it just me, or has the time dragged once you started planning? If still feels so far away!

Sonicstef - the one year countdown begins!
Hi Teri! I feel the complete opposite, I feel like the past year (got engaged in January) has flown by! I almost wish there was another 2 years to go because I want to do so many things that there may not be $$ or time for. How far along are you with your plans? Are you doing anything special?

To Teri and SonicStef...
Don't worry - on one hand, a year will fly by! On the other hand, there is still plenty of time to find cost-effective ways to complete every last detail! I wish you both the best one year countdown - it's the fastest, most fun (& stress) filled year of your life! Enjoy every moment b/c it all goes too fast. Best of luck!

Thanks MiniBride!; SonicStef LONG...
We got engaged last Christmas, and at that time all we did was book the hall and church. We just started really planning this summer, and since then, time has dragged! I think it`s because before the summer, I really didn`t think about it too much, since it seemed so far away. Now, that`s all I think about! All of the planning as been fun up until now - we are trying to decide on a photographer, which has been really tough and, I`m also trying to block some hotel rooms near our hall, since it`s about an hour away from most of our families. That has been the toughest part - there are a few hotels near the hall (East Setauket), but a few are too expensive (I feel bad enough asking my guests to travel out East), or they`re too far away, in which case we need to hire a shuttle bus. Once we make a decision on that, we`ll be okay. We already have the DJ, florist, favors (decided on), & I ordered my dress. However, MiniBride is absolutely right - we still have plenty of time to do everything else - that`s why I wanted to start early. A few friends of mine didn`t have enough time, and they were really stressed right before their wedding day. I want to keep it as fun as possible! How are your plans coming along? Have you decided on your honeymoon desination yet? We were originally thinking about Hawaii, but we`re now leaning towards Bermuda. Sorry this is so long - thanks for listening!

Another thanks to MiniBride!; Teri Response...
We probably should do this over email but I don't have yours.... Anyway... We got engaged in January but since I have always loved weddings, I have been a wedding freak for the past 10 months. We have the reception hall, band and photographer booked so far and of course lots of ideas for the rest of the stuff. A few months ago I felt I was so ahead of myself but now I feel a little rushed since I don't have any definite ceremony or a dress. Once those things are done (hopefully soon) I will feel caught up. Do you mind posting your florist agreement (what you're getting for how much) because Im starting to talk with florists. What are you doing for your flowers/favors? I have been to Hawaii and Bermuda...very different places but both great. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer. Before the 9/11 diaster we were sold on a European Cruise but since the Meditterrean may be occupied by then, I think we are going to hold off until next summer before making any reservations. Hmm..what else? Not sure what your photographer budget is but have you been to see Mark Kauffman's studio...Personally, I loved their sample books and lots of other brides have had great things to say about him. Feel free to email me at [email protected]
