for already married brides who lost a lot of weight after ordering the dress...
I have been holding off ordering my dress because I have been dieting...How much can they really alter a dress down in size?? I really don't want to order a size smaller!!How was your experience?

I am in the same boat. I actually ordered my dress too small!
I think they can alter a dress 2 sizes....about 40 pounds for me....

my mil was altering my dress the night before the wedding b/c i had lost even more weight. i think it is usually a given that brides lose weight before the wedding. i only lost about 10 pounds from the time i ordered the dress to the alterations to the wedding (4months) and it was still a big difference in how the dress fit.

I ordered my dress in April and got married in November. it came in within 2 months, so you have time. my dress had to be taken in 12 inches! and then 1 more inch on my last fitting.my seamstress is a genius and I highly recommend her! FM me if you want more info.

they can make a dress 10 szes smaller if they hve to they only thing they cant do is make t bigger. I lost 60 lbs after ordering my dress and it fell off me when it came in they just had to alter it 6 times

I put myself on a strict diet low carbs hgh protein and got a personal trainer 3xs a week and worked out a total of 5xs a week for 2 hours

I SO needed to hear this. My fitting is on Thursday and I have been stressing about how much weight I lost. Thank you so much for posting this!

I ordered my dress a size smaller...lost 15lbs. but have 30 more to go.I'd order it a size smaller if you know you are going to lose the weight....jmo

I ordered mine a size smaller because I'm on ww and go to curves...i'm losing...and praying that i'll lose enough!! yikes!

WHEN I ORDERED MY DRESS (AND I ORDERDED IT 1 SIZE SMALLER) THEY TOLD ME ITS 1 DRESS SIZE FOR EVERY 20 LBS. THAT GIVES YOU AND INCH LESS MATERIAL ON EITHER SIDE.
