Help! Patken - my mom wants me to get Doug

but, seriously... 2500 more? She wants me to be happy with my pics, but 2500 more? Did I mention 2500 more? seriously? Did anyone use Doug here? The other thing is, they showed me a BEAUTIFUL "Jorgansen" album yesterday. I fell in LOVE with it. THAT album had OVER 100 pictures in it. My contract is for 36 pictures... not pages, pictures. If you book Doug, do you get more pics in your package? Help! I'm stressing, now!

I heard his is great but there is someone who is his protege that is just as good, I think his name is Evan. We booked Steve there and Vinny is great as well. Is your mom going to foot the 2500's if so then get him if not then.....

Yes, she wants to pay. But I don't want her to. I feel bad! She's already paying for everything! Did I mention 2500 more???

You should look at the other photographer's books and if you are not impressed, which I am sure will not be the case, then get Doug

That was my mistake last night. A big ol' DUH for me. I looked at Crescent pics, and a Doug album and never, for whatever reason, asked to see an album by other photogs. I dropped the ball on this one. I actually just made an appointment to go back to look specifically at other photog's albums, and I'll compare them to Doug's. D'oy!

as much as Doug is good, 2500 is alot of money. i would invest that some place else where there is a need. They all know the shots and way of doing things...Doub just adds somthing that is...unique (trying to say he has a good eye for things) not to say the others don't.

Hey I would check out my photographer, he is really great and my whole package was $3500 for two photographer and 1475 proofs but not albums, but even with albums he was under the quote I received from Patken. I saw Doug's work and while I think he does great work, I think his prices are really high for what you get.

Here is my review you will see links to pictures on the bottom of it. I have about half color proofs and half B&W because that is what I requested, I loved my photographer because he listed to exactly what I want and I was very picky. I posted allot of B&W because that is what I preferred.

they told me to get the 36 pic album too but thats bc its cheaper to add pics to the album then to buy a bigger album.

i got a regular album and also the jorgensen(sp) album...i think thats the one that is small enough to be on a coffee table....

i would only book Doug, if your mom is going ot pay the additional 2500 bucks...

Just make sure that you get the price per page in writting now to make sure you recieve the prices that they are charging now and not next years prices.
