NWR: Good and bad news

Bad news- I have strep throat!
Good news- (long) My boss called me into her office yesterday. I always feel like a kid getting called into the principal's office when I get called in. And was especially nervous since I was researching and putting together all the contact info on the photographer and florists I'm going to be looking into in the upcoming weeks, so I was totally like--'crap, I'm in trouble for surfing the net!' like I know some of you other paranoid brides to be have gotten!
So anyway... there was this opening in my department for a manager position. I didn't think I was going to get it b/c I've only been at this company for a little over a year with no previous experience. So she told me that this other woman in my department would be promoted into that position and that I would be placed in her position. Technically I have the same position as 'production coordinator' but, this is like a promotion in the fact that I'm going to be working on a much more competitive magazine and there's going to be a lot more responsibility put on me especially since the manager for that magazine is preggers and is due on 4/4-- so I'll be on my own when she's on maternity leave.
So in spite of my trep, I'm SUPER happy and wanted to share it with you girls. Especially since I'm going to be working on a JEWELERY magazine! I doubt I can get discounts, but now I get to look at ads of pretty jewelry all day and torture the FI with all the bling!
