I am going to have a huge wedding and price is an issue....
We are experienceing sticker shock as we have huge families and really can't get around booking 250-300pp. Does anyone know of a place that will give you a Friday or Saturday night for under or around $75 (including fees, gratuities and taxes) in August or September of 2006???? I don't mean to be intrusive by asking about price but we are desperate.

Just a tip Sept. is an expensive month for weddings. I believe July & August are the cheaper months.

I'm having a big wedding also, (550 people),i'd suggest Crest Hollow BUT i'm not sure if they'll give you a good rate since you're having an evening wedding.

Can you change the month? A winter wedding or an off month (like March) will be considerably cheaper.

Try the Fox Hollow - we're getting it for a Sunday night for $89 per person including tax and grat...eta: that's peak wedding season, so having it on a friday/saturday evening will keep the cost up....can you compromise for a sunday evening or an afternoon wedding?

just fyi.. the Swan Club can't accommodate 300ppl. I think 220 tops.

If Jericho Terrace is in your range, I also recommend it, it is georgeous, and the food is amazing. Only issue I see is that, at my friends wedding, they only had Bud and Bud Light.

This could have been your friend's choice to cut costs. My wedding was all top shelf liquor and imported beer by the bottle and it's my understanding that it's always this way. So Corona and Heineken, by the bottle, were included...and we had a very reasonable pp rate!

These are the prices I was quoted for a Saturday night in OCtober. I don't think September should be much different.

Where ever you go, ask if they have cancellations, those days tend to be less expensive

i forgot to mention, look at thursday nights, they tend to be less expensive, just take into consideration people that work during the week. and out of towners

Try the Meadow Club. They came to the rescue for my best friend's wedding with just 6 weeks to go and they were great!
