Wish me luck....(semi-update)

I am about to call the bridal salon to see what explanation they or the designer has for ruining my dress and what they will do to rectify the situation.

Also calling my current florist to see if I have to deal with another appointment of being stood up and if my sample will be done, otherwise I am going elsewhere.

Re: Wish me luck....

Okay so I spoke to George and he said I have an appt on Thurs @ 6 to see my bo-k sample, but the orchids will not be the same exact color and that he won't be there, but one of the girls will. So we shall see what happens there.

Then I called Lestan's and speak to Claudette who told me to call her. She said the woman at Moonlight was very rude, that she just had a call right before hers from a bride that called them directly about a complaint about her dress. She said because my dress came in back in November, how they can safely say that no one else has altered the dress since then, and so how can they take responsibility? (I have the receipt showing when I picked the damn dress up 2 weeks ago and from when I first when to the seamstress on Saturday)

I told her if I can't get a replacement, then I want to be reimbursed for the hollow to hem costs since that clearly was not done. When I said that, she told me to call back tomorrow to speak to the manager, and that she will inform her of the situation. That they will try to fix the dress, which I said no way. I would sooner let Phyllis attempt to fix it, before I let them have it again.

Ugh, so the saga continues.

Re: Wish me luck....(semi-update)

No no no no NO!
Not acceptable. If the bridal salaon and the dress manufacturer want to duke out the responsibility, that is THEIR problem, NOT yours!!!
You have a receipt stating that you picked up the dress a week ago.
If the dress manufacturer says there is no way to prove that it came that way, and was not altered, then that is the bridal shops battle, and they need to keep you out of it. You have all the proof you need!
Sorry if I seem crazy, this kind of $*it really gets me goinmg!
I think Judge Wapner would be on my side...

If you're referring to Signature.. i had a few problems also with making appointments to see George and then his not being there when i showed up. I'm not sure what the deal is with that.. I only live about 10 min. from the stores so it wasn't that big of an issue for me, although it did annoy me when it happened the 2nd time. Rest assured - he was more than gracious when we finalized everything and when he couldn't get a certain flower 2 days before the wedding, he gave me ones that were much more expensive and looked great.
The flowers from Signature looked beautiful and lasted for about a week after the wedding.
Hope it works out!

I can already see what's happening and it doesn't surprise me at all.

Both are pointing fingers at the other, when it's clear that SOMEONE phucked up my dress. Myh other option is to file a complaint with the BBB for BOTH the salon and the designer and then to the media. But I will wait to see what they say tomorrow. However these actions are my next steps, and I will just continue to let Phyllis alter my dress. (But I WILL take pictures of what has been done to the dress.)

Re: Wish me luck....(semi-update)

Omg Janna, I woudn't hesitate to get the media involved!! There are just too many things wrong on soooooooo many levels with these people!!!!!!! Seriously, call up Help Me Howard or one of those guys, these salons HATE that bc it makes them do the right thing and gives them BAD publicity. I just hope this nightmare is over soon, I'm so sorry you have to go through all this!!!!!!

I'm sorry you're so upset.

Can we see the pic of the dress again?

It certainly doesn't look crooked in the pic I have in my head.

Take it one day at a time...remember what it's all about!

Re: Wish me luck....(semi-update)

It's hard to tell from the pic, but you can kind of tell. There's a crease that goes from the top of the design, and falls just to the right of the middle of the dress at the waist (it's to the left in the picture)

You definitely see the sides are longer than the middle here, though!!

I honestly can't tell. Although it looks like it's on crooked...like you're either not standing straight (which you're not) or the dress needs to be straightened on you. The middle is folded inward, so I also can't tell if it's even with the sides.

Good luck...

Re: Wish me luck....(semi-update)

Even if the manufacturing flaws are hard to see, for the amount of $$ you pay, that dress better be flawless!
Otherwise, they had better give you an 'Outlet' discount, for imperfect goods!

BTW- The dress really is beautiful.
