My candle experiment- now with pic! (I hope!)
I was thinking of doing a mostly candle centerpiece but was worried about the length of time candles burn for. Thought I'd share my results!Ikea floating candle ($3.99 for a small bag of them) burned for just under 4 hours. So did the Ikea liquifying votive candle ($3.99 for 10 I think).
Here's a pic from the test:

Re: My candle experiment
Sorry...the pic was too big and I am waiting for the resize to show up. Doesn't it usually happen fast?

Re: My candle experiment- now with pic! (I hope!)
Thanks everybody! Maybe I should share the other costs in case anyone wants to do the same thing. The rectangular vase was $5.99; colored sand was $1.99 (bag was probably big enough for 3 vases); the wine glass was $2.99 and the colored glass was $1.99 (probably good for 2-3 glasses).

Well the reception is 4 hours long. I figure if the candles are conking out towards the end, so are my guests and it's no big deal. Do you think I should try to find candles with a longer burn time?
