QOTD! Do you feel like your impressions of other girls on this site has changed as time has gone by?

I know that there are always first impressions, sometimes accurate, sometimes not so much. In that light I am wondering, do you girls feel like your impressions have changed, either for the better or the worse about other people on here.

I don't mean for people to name names or anything like that, since this is not meant to start any trouble.

I would have to say yes, and mostly for the better. There are a few people that I thought I wouldn't get along with, but as the months passed, I realized that we had more in common than I thought.

First impressions are not always best, i guess.

For me - yes, for the better (majority)

However, there are a few yes, for the worse.

I completely agree with you Jess...there are people I thought I would have nothing but the wedding planning in common with yet we chat and really do have many similarities and we get along. First impressions are not always the best!

I'd say that in the few months I've been on here, most of the ladies have left a very good impression.

Its easy to determine that if you have been to a GTG, which I have, so yes, i can see what you mean. You girls are all wonderful. Its so much different when when we meet each other at GTG. Its weird knowing so much about someone even though you have never met face to face.

Yes, I do feel that way. I guess it's because for me, it was hard for me to show my personality right away because I was nervous posting. Now I feel more comfortable, so I can post personal things and let my true colors show. I feel that this probably happens to a lot of people and they open up as they become more familar with the boards. The more you hear about people, the more you see where they are coming from. So maybe one nasty post is cushioned by the fact that the person has either had a tough time lately, or they tend to be a nervous person and don't mean anything by it. Do you know what I mean?

For the most part, I am very happy that I have met some of you girls and that we all have a lot in common (even those that I have not met in person). To be honest, there hasn't been anyone that I didn't get along with on here. We all know there has been controversy in the past but I think for the most part that people aren't aware of what they are getting themselves into when they make a comment and of course typing a thought isn't always as clear as speaking it. So I would say there has been anyone that I didn't like for what they posted. I just try to keep an open mind. But yes, 1st impressions may last but aren't always a good judge of character in my experience.

I'm going to agree with you, I really thought that I was going to be the odd ball and that everyone was going to act different with me.....but I realized that this site is full of intelligent, creative, helpful women and planning a wedding in less than 6 months have gone real smooth because of the girls here

i try not to pass judgement so much. Getting to know many of you via GTG has been wonderful and i must say all of you are exactly how I imagined!!! Thank you ladies!!!

I told you I would stay away after you issued me a restraining order.

I have to agree with the other girls. My opinions of other people on this site has pretty much stayed the same.

Yes, mostly for the better, and the more I meet people, the more I realize there are still a lot of good people out there.

There's only maybe a handful that I have no interest in meeting, but that could always change!

i feel that people i liked right away were people i still like and like even more as i get to know them

people that i do not care for i pretty much feel the same about

i feel like i am pretty good at judging character from first impresions however im always open to changing my opinion of someone if they prove me wrong

I could have written this.

There are people that I feel are insane and I stay away from. But there are some 06ers who I think are awesome and my 05ers rock. GTGs definitely help bond.

I'd have to say that for the most part, my impression has been good for most. Some I stay clear of. But my GTG ladies are the best!!! Love you guys!!!! I'm still hoping to meet more ladies B4 my big day.

I need to get to a GTG! It's so hard though since I don't live on LI. But I will do my best to make the next NYC one....I want to get to know y'all better!
