Re: What games were at your shower?
There's a closepin game where everyone gets 1 closepin. If you hear someone say "wedding" or "bride" they have to give you their closepin. You try to collect as many as you can and the person with the most gets a prize.

Re: What games were at your shower?
We did Toilet Paper Bride and the "poem" with all the detergents. That was a riot because a lot of my guests didn't speak English very well and the combos were hilarious!!

I just went to a shower this past Saturday and they had cute games. They had toilet paper bride, madlibs and bridal bingo.
The madlibs was a fill in the blank story about the bride and groom. The MOH stood up and asked for verbs, nouns, adjectives, etc. So once the entire story was ready it was very funny. They also did the detergent and household product poem which was cute and the trivia about the bride and groom. If you need any more info. or samples let me know and I can email them to you.

There was prices for the people that got the most answers right or the most points. Little prices like candles. It wasn't all done by the MOH it was all the bridesmaids so all the presure won't fall on you.

Re: What games were at your shower?
lets see... my shower was AWESOME- a simple at home shower at my aunts house, only about 30 people- everyone had a blast! one of the things they did were that they made " poppers". you take old paper towel rolls and cut them in half ( or toilet paper rolls) and wrap them in pretty paper. before you wrap the one end, put in a peice of paper with a funny quote, joke, etc about love/marriage ( my sister fuond these online). every guest gets one before the bride starts opening presents. before the bride opens a guests present, they have to open their popper and read the joke/quote thats inside. it was a GREAT way to kep the guests involoved while i was opening presents and it really kept them laughing the whole time.... another thing they did, if you have access to a DVD or VCR... one of my BMs made a video with my FI. they asked him questions about me/our relationship and videotaped his answers. so then at the shower, they asked me the same question, i answered and then they played his answer on the video to see how close we were it was REALLY cute to see his expression while he was trying to remember certain things and it was priceless when they asked him " whats one word to describe melissa?" and he said " perfect!" just a couple ideas

Re: What games were at your shower?
What Comes Next Read the beginning of a sentence and see who can answer it correctly first! Example: Too many cooks......spoil the soup. - A stitch in time.....saves nine. - Variety is.....the spice of life. Give a point for the fastest correct answer. (You may also want to give out a prize for the funniest answers!)
What the Bride Says As the bride opens each gift, have someone write down what she says (without her knowing). After all the gifts are opened, have the person read her comments back. These are the bride's words to describe her wedding night. (Make sure your guests can handle this one!)
Spice of Life Get as many spices together as you want and place them in unmarked, but numbered jars. Pass each one around the room and have each guest write down what she thinks it is. At the end of the game, award the one with the most correct answers the collection of spices. (Be sure to include the corresponding list!)
Mom's Advice Have each guest tell the best and worst advice they received from their mother or grandmother. Award a prize to the person who gives the best advice and a booby prize to the worst advice received!
Clothespin Game As each guest arrives, clip a clothespin to her clothing. If someone hears another person saying the word "bride", she gets to take her clothespin. The player with the most "pins" at the end of the shower, gets a prize.
Memory Game Place fifteen to twenty small wedding related items on a tray and cover them with a lace napkin. To play this game, place the tray in the center of your guests for two minutes. Cover the tray again and ask the guests to write down as many of the items as they can remember. The person who remembers the most, wins a prize.
Penny Prize Place a penny under a coffee cup and saucer and give the certerpiece to the person who sits in that cha

Re: What games were at your shower?
What is the Bride Wearing? Let the bride know ahead of time. After everyone has visited for a while, the bride quietly leaves the room and listens from a spot where the guests cannot see her. Then ask the guests about what she is wearing. Is her hair up or down? Color of shoes? Outfit color? Ask as many questions as you can think of...then start asking about the bride's favorite color, TV show, food. Go around the room taking turns answering. Everyone who has not missed an answer at the end wins a prize.
Who am I? This one is an easy way to get everyone talking to one another. Ahead of time, write down the names of famous people on index cards - singers, celebrity, political figures, authors. As each guest arrives, pin the identity to their back without them knowing the name. Guests find out who they are by asking others YES or NO questions. Depending on the group of people, you may or may not also decide to put a limit on the number of questions that can be asked to one person consecutively. Depending on how long it takes, you can opt for first prize only or extend out to second and third. If you want everyone to get a chance to figure it out, you may also give out a prize to the last person.
Wise Ones After everyone has arrived, ask each person to introduce themselves and offer a nugget of advice on how to have a happy marriage, or cooking tips, or whatever. Assign a secretary to record the tips. Compile it later as a gift for the bride.
Happy Wishes Provide envelopes and index cards. Have the guests write an event, holiday, or moment in the couple's life together. On the index card, write a happy thought or useful piece of advice. On the outside of the envelope, write the occasion that the bride should open the note. Examples might be wedding night, first anniversary, first child, first fight, first house.

Re: What games were at your shower?
Honeymoon Give each guest a pencil and paper and ask them to write down a location using the brides first name. (If she has a short one, use both the bride's and groom's name.) Allow a few minutes per letter and award a prize for the longest list. Example: Laurie - Los Vegas, Alaska, Utah, Reno, Ireland, England.
Word Scramble Provide a list of scrambled words that are common with a wedding ceremony and reception. Use words such as bride, groom, gifts, cake, flowers, ring. (dirbe, romog, tigfs, kace, woferls, girn) The first person finished gets a prize. (If no one finished within 10 to 15 minutes, award the prize to the person with the most right answers.)
Send a Note Provide each guest with a pretty note card for them to write a message to the bride and groom. On the outside of the envelope, have them write down when they should open it, such as before the wedding, the wedding night, their honeymoon, first anniversary.
Trivia Game Have a list of famous couple questions. Divide the guests into two or more teams and ask a question. The group that answers first, gets a point. The team with the most points wins! Example: Who was the famous dance team of all time? - What comedy team is married? - How many times has Elizabeth Taylor been married? - What was the maiden name of Donald Trump's first wife?
Finish the Proverb As the hostess, you read half of a proverb and see who can complete it! Example: Love means never......having to say you are sorry. - It is better to have loved and lost.....than never to have loved at all. - All is fair.....in love and war.

Re: What games were at your shower?
Personally, I told my sister to skip the games for my shower but I did go to a shower once where they had like 10-15 questions about the bride and groom (ie how they met, where he proposed, etc) and everyone filled in their answers and then they announced the correct answers and everyone marked their own papers and whoever got the most right won a prize. She had a few extra prizes in case there were tied winners with all the questions correct. It was nice, fun, and different. Good luck with all the planning!

You give rolls of toilet paper to each table. The table then picks a "bride" from their table. Everyone then makes a wedding dress for that bride out of toilet paper. The real bride then decides who has the best dress.
