OMG someone stop me before I burst UPDATE

Just got off the phone with the bridal salon. I spoke to Lucille.

She told me that the designer is not responsible for the gown from 7 days after it gets to the salon!! She is telling me that the designer is not going to be held responsible, and that they can't be held responsible, because I've had the dress for 2 weeks even though I have shown them I didn't go to a seamstress till Saturday!!

Now she tells me she's going to speak to someone else (I think the owner) to see if they can help me (which I already know what's going to happen, NOTHING!)

I need names and numbers of a media outlet right now. How the hell can they tell me no one is responsible?? SOMEONE did this to my dress, and it sure as hell was not me!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

January 25, 2006 - I HAVE CONTACTED THE MEDIA!
We shall now see if any of the news channels I contacted get back to me. The salon was supposed to call me back yesterday, which of course did not happen, so they are in for a rude awakening.

I don't live in NY so I don't have any media suggestions but DEFINITELY do it! They deserve this and other brides deserve to know what is happening to you!

call All the stations!! that is absurd!!! I would say if they admit that the designer is not responsible after 7 days then it is the salons fault for not inspecting the merchandise within that time period and there fore they are entirely at fault. Do not give in!!! they are going to give you the run around hoping you'll just give up!!

I think it might matter to news channel 12 in LI. I would call the salon back & threaten them that you will do this-see if that makes them change their attitude.

you can call the Better Business Bureau... or the Attorney General Eliot Spitzer... he has a district office at 300 Motor Parkway.. Hauppauge... 631 231-2400...

call them and when you speak with the owner remind them you spoke with these offices.........
