NWR- 2nd QOTD- do you feel you harp or dwell on things?

Do you feel your harp or dwell on things when they don't go your way, or are you a let it roll off your back kind of gal?

I tend to dwell, but I do it silently...usually no one knows I am brooding about something until I am ready (if ever) to say anything. Sometimes I can work out problems for myself, especially if I think I am making too much out of the issue.

though I have learned to let things go...I usually feel much better when I release and stop going back to the same issue over and over...especially with this wedding...it's been cathartic!

Re: NWR- 2nd QOTD- do you feel you harp or dwell on things?

I dwell on things that I have no control over. I hate it when something needs to be fixed, but I have to wait to do it. For example, if you need to speak with a vendor about something that is really bothering you, but she is out of town. I hate that!! I want to be able to fix something right then and there.

Re: NWR- 2nd QOTD- do you feel you harp or dwell on things?

Some things I let go and others I dwell on. Depends on what it is, I guess. With friends that hurt me somehow, I do dwell until I feel that enough time has passed. With smaller issues I tend to let them roll off my back. With the RSVP/invitation issue, I have been harping on that a lot! I can't wait til the invites are ordered so I don't have to think about it anymore!!

I definitely harp on things and I want to deal with things at the exact moment that I feel like it and I get so frustrated if a vendor does not respond to me right away. Not sure if it's a good quality or not, lol!

You know that pic Janna had in her avatar of the beating a dead horse? That's me. I harp and dwell on every little thing...usually silently until I'm ready to let it out. Once I let it out though I'm over it.

No I am easy going. I can get so angry but then I let it go just as easily.

Everything rolls off of my back. I forgive and forget - one or the other and sometimes both. Life's too short.

Re: NWR- 2nd QOTD- do you feel you harp or dwell on things?

Depends on what it is...

For the most part I let it roll off my back. I'll harp for about 5 minutes and then forget about it and laugh it off.

Other things (such as my dress issue) I will continue to harp about until it's resolved.

Re: NWR- 2nd QOTD- do you feel you harp or dwell on things?

I am a huge harper. Usually FH gets to hear all my woos - he always makes me feel better. I tell myself not to harp on things and that it doesn't help, but it is SO hard to stop. I am a harper and a worry wart all in one - how does FH put up with me?

Re: NWR- 2nd QOTD- do you feel you harp or dwell on things?

I think you're asking 2 questions, Jess.

One, yes I harp on things when I'm upset and I brood over someone pissing me off. I don't forgive and forget very easily and I've written friends out of my life for screwing me the wrong way, even if it was just once.

Two, as for the wedding, once I make a decision that's it. I analyze things before I decide, but I don't think I go overboard. Then once I commit myself to something, I move onward to the next thing. I haven't let myself question choices that I've made after the fact, and I think I've had a much more pleasant experience planning this way.
