Photographer Quotes/Reviews
Could you please list the photographers you met/interviewed and give the quotes you received and positives/negatives?I'm sure many of you are also looking. This could be very helpful.
Thanks in advance....
So far I am considering...
Duet
Something in Blue
My friend recommended Edward Keating but he starts at $10k!!!!

DOUG at Patken is amazing. Go see his album at the Lindenhurst studio. He's phenomenal! I'm paying a bit over 5000 for him, but it's worth it. (I feel better, though, that you were quoted 10k... I thought 5k was a lot!)

I think $5k is a lot too. Actually I think anything over $2k is a lot.I want 2 photographers for about 5 hours total.
They charge more per hour than lawyers!!!
Are there any hourly photographers?
Why is EVERYTHING wedding related so pricey???

Other photogs at Patken run about 2500 less, but he is the best. The rest are VERY similar, though...

Because brides (and some grooms) are in search of the 'perfect day' and are willing to pay a premium for it.

I used Perceptions and they were fantastic. They're very familiar with Glen Island so we were able to take shots at many locations that other photographers didn't even know existed. We paid around $5K but I know they have packages starting around $2K

You can easily find 2 photographers for only 5 hours in your $2K price range to shoot the day. I know 12th Night is at or under that range for 10 hours with a second photographer for 4-6 hours.
