Sr. Richard Global Studies. She was so animated and vocal and funny (she'd call us fish mouths)
I almost became a Social Studies teacher because of her.

Re: QOTD: Who was your favorite teacher and why?
HS - Mr. Fulton, b/c he pushed me to do, better, be more orgainzed( now, I'm so organized it's ironic)College: LIU -Southampton Pro. Bob Zellner, he was amazing the cousre he taught was really interesting and I felt that I didn't get all the facts on the subject in Public high school. He taught a History of Activisim, he worked w/ Matin Luther King Jr. & SNCC, as well as many other organizations, In fact he was even arrested when we were protesing w/ The Shinnicock Tribe, in Southampton... He taught me that people really do stand up for what they believe in, no matter what the circumstances

Re: QOTD: Who was your favorite teacher and why?
My second grade teacher Mrs. Gutter. She taught me that color didn't matter. She would take me to the park, out to diner. I remember one weekend she took me to the park and people would look at us as if we were from another plant. (this was in 1969)
I KNOW, MOST OF U WERE NOT BORN)
A lot of people had a hard time seeing a African American child with a White woman, but she told me that I was just as smart and important as anyone else. She's one special
woman.
She coming to my wedding.
