sad vent...NWR

I work with 6 year olds at a school and this morning one of them confided in me that her dad beats her with a belt

I went through the motions of writing it up and reporting to the principal, but I hope CPS takes it seriously and removes her. It's such a helpless feeling!!!

that kind of stuff pisses me off so much - I would like to see the Dad suffer big time. I'm so glad the child told you though.

oh no!

Having many teachers in my life, I know how tough it can be to be the child's educator, friend, social worker, confidant. I hope they handle it appropriately and get the child in a safer environment if they find it is in fact true. All the best.

Unfortunately the school's in a bad neighborhood that seems to sadly be inundated with reports, so I just hope that it gets processed accordingly, and QUICKLY.

It is true - she showed the teacher her back, which had marks.

I'm glad she trusted me enough to tell me

CPS will definitely get involved. I think there are also options for you to intervene legally too!

That is the worst thing imaginable. FH says nothing will hold him back if he ever sees someone hit a child, or a man hit a woman.

I'm sure CPS will do something about it, sometimes you just have to trust in the system. It's good that she shared that with you. Don't feel helpless, you did the right thing and now you need to be there for her. She must think very highly of you to open up like that.

I'll keep her future in my thoughts and prayers!!

what a horrible thing to have to hear...but you must be really good at what you do for the little girl to confide in you. hopefully cps will be all over it since what happened to the girl from brooklyn a couple of weeks ago

That is so horible Someone should beat the father with a belt and see how he likes it and let the person have much more strength then he has Things like this piss me off peopel who abuse children and animals should all be put in a room together and beat up each other it makes me sick
