Definetely take some advil...I hope you are not PMSing....if you are it may hurt a little extra badly...your skin is sensitive at that time of the month!

Re: NWR - Brazilian

Beforehand: Take a few tylenol/advil/aleve (whichever you prefer)

You will be humbled in more ways then one. Sometimes I think my waxer knows me better than my FH!! But they're professionals, so it's not weird for them.

Afterwards... DO NOT go into a hot shower or bath until the redness and swelling (you might have a TEEENY bit) goes down. I recommend using 'Tend Skin' a few days after to prevent ingrown hairs and 'bumps'. I swear by it. But DO NOT use until a few days after you wax. It'll sting like mother____ if you do it too soon.

If you have some leftover wax on you, just take a luke warm wash cloth and very mild soap and rub GENTLY. It'll be tender... especially if it's your first.

But YOU'LL LOVE IT!! (and so will your FH! )

Re: NWR - Brazilian

It is a bit painful but it's a very quick pain, and the results are worth it. My advice is to relax and try not to be too embarrassed, they do this for a living.

Re: NWR - Brazilian

It definitely hurts some, so take some sort of pain reliever a few hours before hand. I also second Tend Skin. It works really well to prevent ingrown hairs. Also, immediately afterwards, I use a cream by Sally Hansen to help with irritation. It's good for sensitive skin. Be prepared for the waxer to become VERY INTIMATE with you!

me neither. Ignoring the pain factor, I am way too self-consious to um expose myself in that way.

Re: NWR - Brazilian

I'm not going to tell it doesn't hurt, but take some advil beforehand....

make sure the hair is long enough...

they give you like little underwear, they are paper like... and move it around as you go...

it isn't that embarrasing during it, they talk to you and stuff...

after, wear loose cloths, it will be tender and if you have like a and d ointment put it on before shower to clog the pores.. it hurts less....

it's worth the pain and money believe me...after a while, you grow less hair....

good luck!
