Just Booked the HONEYMOON

We're Going to Italy for 12 days!! I'm totally thrilled.

Of course, we still didn't do tuxes or hotels or out of towner transportation or a ton of other little things - but for the time being...

I DON'T CARE!!!

Who did you book with? Do you mind posting your itinerary?

We are planning to go to Italy as well. Except we are so not motivated. I need to steal other peoples ideas.

After torturing ourselves and talking about this for like EVER... we finally bailed and ended up on a tour. I realize all the potential down sides about a tour and a honeymoon all rolled up into one, but truthfully, we just do not have the time to do the research necessary to have pulled off a trip like this by ourselves. We did research the tours, however. I will tell you this - we ended up with Globus. They are first class and come with very high reviews (independent reviews). I understand that Insight tours do offer a slight cut above in hotels and tend to include more excursions, but we were not thrilled with the pace. In the end, we split the difference and went with an 11 day Globus 'Leisurely' tour - Rome, Venice and Florence. We added on an extra day in Rome too.

The final thing for us was that a friend who is from Italy said that HE would be inclined to take the tour - and he's FROM there.
