OMG- I go the coup of the century (I call big shopping discounts 'coups' LOL) at Loehmanns on 7th ave this weekend.

I went there just to check it out and see if it was worth bringing my mom there to shop for a dress (she is plus size)

so I was looking throug the racks and I saw a lovely amethyst colored sheath dress with jacket in a size I thought she might fit...the dress was marked down to $39.99!!!!!!!!!!1 I couldn't believe it- but the all there. the dress is silk shantung and lovely...they had reds, blues, golds...really lovely things all less than $100.

anyway, I figured I should buy it JIC, and wouldn't you know it...she LOVES it and it FIT.. just needs some very minor alterations!!!

EASY, BEAUTIFUL, and CHEAP!! definitely worth a look see- you might just get lucky!

Absolutely love Loehmanns. I got BCBG shoes there this past weekend for 39.99 in macys they were 89.00.

BUMP for pics...the dress is a little lighter, but you get the idea. and it 'goes' with my jewel tone theme!

that is the digital camera I 'share' with fh...I just can't use it for my stuff b/c the software is on his computer at home.

no... I will never have my own.

That is such a beautiful dress...and that price is insane...great job Jess...I'm going to have to bring my mom there for her dress...she refuses to blow the bank on the a dress...and she wants something with a jacket as well...

I love it Jess! My mom's dress was somewhat similar (especially the jacket) and also by Cachet... only we paid a lot more for it. Great deal- your mom is going to look beautiful!

thanks Sabrina. I am bringing my grandma, FMIL, and FSIL there as well. I could not believe the prices...if you find something nice, I don't see the point in breaking the bank.

they really had a pretty good selection, with some great colors (a gorgeous red comes to mind)

That's a great dress and I can't belive you bought it at such a great price. It's elegant and very appropriate for your mom. It actually reminds me of the one my MIL wore...she paid a lot more for it.
