Question for the DIY ladies!

I thoroughly enjoy reading this board, everyone has such creative ideas!!! I am super excited to make some DIY projects for my wedding, but my question is how far in advance do you start? my wedding is July 2007, so when do you suggest beginning projects like cry packs, petal cones, baskets, letters, etc?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Re: Question for the DIY ladies!

I guess it depends on how busy your schedule is, how you will store the items, and if you will still like them a year after you make them.

It's never too early to start! If you have the time, why not?!

I suggest getting as much as you can (and have time for) done early. I did most of DIY stuff while FH was on deployment just to pass the time a little busier. Now that the wedding is only 5 months away I find that I have very few things to stress over since everything is pretty much already done.

I think finding storage is the biggest issue. If you have a room where you can store all of these items safely, then you can start whenever you want. I made my petal cones, slipper basket, favors and cry packs over the summer because I have enough room to store them.

Re: Question for the DIY ladies!

I think Im gonna start my cry packs this month. This way I can get them out of my hair. I am not sure abou the rest, but i know that I'll be pulling my hair out over programs and menus when it gets closer...so better to get the small stuff done now
