Capriccio Ensemble

Has anyone ever used them? I am thinking about booking the violinist to go along with my harpist for my ceremony. what do you think?

Has anyone ever heard a violinist play the bridal march before? Just curious as to how it sounds while I wait for my sample cd.

Thanks ladies!!!!

Re: Capriccio Ensemble

I used Capriccio Ensemble for my wedding and they were absolutely wonderful. I had a violinist but he didn't play the bridal march - they did a wonderful job though. We had them (a soprano, pianist, violinist and cello) play Con Te Partiro, Ave Maria, Moon River, and Clocks. Here an excerpt my wedding review:

The ceremony music was probably one of my favorite memories of our wedding day and it's all thanks to Natalie Krieger, the owner of Cappriccio, and her incredibly talented musicians. This was really a last minute decision on my part to have live music for the ceremony. As much confidence as I had in Starlight Express, I was still very concerned about the logistics of them providing the music for the ceremony – how they would move their equipment to start the cocktail hour music, etc .

About 3 weeks before the wedding, Elaine (my wedding planner) could see that I was still a little hesitant and so she recommended Natalie Krieger of Capriccio Ensemble. Natalie was really wonderful to work with and I’m so grateful that Elaine recommended her. We decided to go with a quartet of a soprano singer, piano, violin, and cello. I really love music and one of my favorite parts of the wedding was listening to the soprano sing “Con Te Partiro” for the bridal party processional. My other favorite part was when the piano, cello, and violin played the instrumental for “Clocks” as our recessional. It sounded PERFECT – that’s why I have such a cheesey grin on my face. Well, that and the happiness of just being married! My co-worker said that whenever he hears 'Clocks' now, he thinks of my wedding!

while i didn't go into much detail, the above posted is how we felt.

i would ask them if the recommend singers or any other peices you are looking for (this way, they can work together)
