Invitation wording help

How should the invitation read?

MR and MRs________ request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter

Brides First name & Middle name

To

Grooms Name.

My question is should it just be the grooms first and middle name or should it have first middle and last name?

Re: Invitation wording help

If you say son of Jane and John Smith then you don't need the last name. If his parent's names aren't on there then I would say to include his first and last name.

Re: Invitation wording help

we did first middle and last name even though it said 'son of' underneath it. It made more sense to us that way, but the truth is, you can really do it any way you want. What I realized is that no one is even going to notice except for you.

Re: Invitation wording help

we did

Mr & Mrs My parents
invite you to share in the joy
of the marriage of their daughter
Stephanie Elyse
to
Michael John Hisname
son of
Mr & Mrs His parents

If you're not putting his parents you should put his last name. If you do put his parents you can do it whichever way you like better.
