Packing for a Hawaiin Honeymoon?

I've never gone on a vacation for 12 days. What in the world do you pack for an island where you can do so many things and do they let you tote ALL of your luggage on the inter-island flights?

I'm thinking we'll have TONS of luggage.

Re: Packing for a Hawaiin Honeymoon?

They let you tote all of your luggage but, if you aren't on the plane early, your luggage might not make it. Now too a lot of the major airlines charge you extra if your baggage is over a certain weight.

I haven't even thought about that, wow. At least summer clothes don't take up much room.

ETA: A few years ago my friend went and rented a convertible and couldn't fit the luggage in the car!

Re: Packing for a Hawaiin Honeymoon?

Just keep it simple... figure out what you will be doing most of the days... if you plan to be at the beach and also at the pool, pack a lot of bathing suits, sarongs etc. Factor in how many nights you'll be doing fancy things like going to dinner, seeing shows, pack light dresses with maybe a cotton cardigan or pashmina to throw over ur shoulders in case it gets drafty. Lots of tank tops, polo shirts... !

Re: Packing for a Hawaiin Honeymoon?

I'm worried about the activities- biking, hiking, etc. Sneakers, sweats, etc. take up so much room!!

Ever thought about laundry services at a hotel? Think they'll do your laundry for you?

Definitely, that's what the little bags that they hang in the closet are for

Re: Packing for a Hawaiin Honeymoon?

we packed everything in one suitcase and it was a big mistake... we had to pay $25.00 because our suitcase was too heavy... make sure you dont have more than 50lbs in each suitcase...

Re: Packing for a Hawaiin Honeymoon?

but just think summer sclothes are lighter than winter, if you have a few sundresses and bathings suits, you can maybe carry on your sneakers or wear them
