Repost from Newlyweds :Duet Brides with Soho Album

So I finally get my layout and I love the first 10 pages but then the reception is crammed into two pages- One big picture of first dance and one big picture of cake cutting and all the others scattered on each page- father daughter dance, mother son dance, DH dance with my grandma, - it looks horrible- like they just threw them on the page. The whole album is only 15 pages. Is this the usual length of the album????

it depends how many pictures you get to pick...

pictures need to go together with similar pictures...they could spread it out more but it really depends on the picture...not every picture looks good blown up or small...it all depends

I gave them around 85 and all of them are there. But the layout is very chaotic and other than the first couple of pages, it looks like proofs just placed on a page. I am liking it less and less as I look at it. Thanks for the input.

Thanks...we are doing a soho book also...we visited duet and still kinda question if we made the right choice..

i would explain to them about your layout is too much going on and you want to spread it out.
did you see Azood layout that she did her self?

I am sorry Christine maybe because you have over 80 pictures, do you think you could subtract some pictures from there? we picked only about 60 pictures and the layout looked great....

I am just curious, what is the Soho Album?...We are getting the library album which also includes 85 pictures...I was wondering if 'Soho Album' is another name for it.

i never heard of library album....

soho is also known as magazine style..
if you look at the thread with Azood pictures...that is the type of layout the soho/magazine is

Did you get an email of the layout first?
BecauseI used Duet and they emailed me a layout first, I re-arranged 3 times bfore I approved it. Now I am happy with it.

i agree with diane you should def have them rearrange it and definitely tell them what you're not happy about!
