How many months before the wedding do you send them out and do they go out with the invitations or before?

I am getting married on 7/7/07 and I gave them out as part of my favors for my engagement party in November

I am going to do it a year before & send it along with the Hotel information since I blocked rooms.

Unless you have a lot of out of town guests, I think 8-months to a year before is PLENTY of time.

I'm getting married this June and I sent most of my STD's out in July. I only sent them to my definite invite list. I sent the remainder of my STDs in the beginning of December (approx 6 mos before the wedding).

I recommend sending them out to your 'A' list first, and then your 'B' list later on. Your guest list may change, and once you send them a STD, you're pretty much stuck inviting them to the wedding. Some of your 'B' list people might become 'C's' or not make your list at all as you get closer to your wedding!

We're getting married during the 4th of July week so we'll be sending our STD's the end of this summer so people will be aware of the wedding when they're planning their vacations for the following year.
