Live ceremony music

My cousin plays a variety of instruments and I thought it would be so great if he played our ceremony music - I'm thinking guitar. But I don't know if it would be loud enough, unless he uses an amp and then it might be too loud. I'm getting married at the Fox Hollow - and depending on the weather the ceremony could be inside OR outside. Can anyone who's had live music at their weddings give me some tips on what to do...especially Fox Hollow brides. I was thinking of just having the DJ provide the music - but he charges $150....where I can have *free* music by my cousin which would be extra special.

Hope someone can give me some suggestions on what to do.

Absolutely have your cousin play! He can adjust the sound so its not too loud.

If the ceremony is inside, the room is small enough that he may not need anything but his instruments. Outside, you'll want some amplification.
