High and low centerpieces
I just spoke to the florist to see if there were any ways to cut costs.... they suggested doing half high and half low centerpieces....... What do you guys think of this?

Re: High and low centerpieces
I have pics of my reception place with high and low...I really like the way it looks. They allowed me to come in and see it/take pics all set up for a wedding b/c it's a country club so it's hard to imagine it set up for a wedding when all the members are just there....They had 3 different centerpieces....one was just high vase filled with white tulips, Then there were these crystal candlesticks....3 different ones, all diff. in height - so pretty and around that they had a few short, very small floral arrangements, then the 3rd CP was just about 3-4 short, small arrangements. Hope the pics post - I've been having trouble lately.

Re: High and low centerpieces
I saw that done at my reception site when i went to look one day. They had all high centerpieces at the outside tables and low ones on the center tables(by the dance floor). I thought it was a great idea because it allowed everyone to see the dance floor without high centerpieces in the way but it also gave the look of high ones. Im probably going to do this--it really looked great--and my mom loved it too.

Re: High and low centerpieces
We're doing this as well. Our florist actually suggested it becuase I love the high CPs, but was afraid it would be too overwhelming to have 20+ tables all with high CPs. He said that it looks better if you have a lot of tables, and as a bonus it saves you money. He also said that the main reason it looks good is that it brings color into the room on two levels instead of one...Gotta love John at Flower Michele...always thinking!
