Re: Wedding Scrapbook

If you mean hard, because it takes a lot of time, I agree. Just don't cut, glue, or tape anything until you have the layout the way you want it. It usually takes me almost an hour to make one page!

Re: Wedding Scrapbook

Scrapbooking is fun but I can understand why people think its hard. You really have to plan ahead what you want each page to look like. There are magazines out there that can help you with the layout etc. Once you start though it becomes really addicting.

Re: Wedding Scrapbook

It's hard because you really have to think about what you want, like someone said before, it's not just cutting and glueing, It took me almost 2 hours to do one page last night!!! I learned how to matte your photos so they stand out! I'm going back again Feb. 24th for another scrapbooking ladies night!!!! lol

I will include all pictures of Engagement, E-party, Shower, Bachelorette party, RD, wedding and honeymoon. I've never taken on such a project, everyone I talk to say how addictve it is! It is also expensive!!! I just started and have already spent over $70!!!! I can't imagine how much the book wiill be worth when Im done with it!!!!

Re: Wedding Scrapbook

I was just about to start my wedding scrapbook tonight! My FFIL got me a gift card to a craft store and I spent over $80 on wedding specific scrapbooking items. I've been scrapbooking other events for a while and love it. It's a great thing to do when FH is watching sports or just for a quiet night. It takes me about an hour to do a 2-page layout. I take all my pictures, choose background paper, collect any stickers or embelishments, and start planning. I love the sense of accomplishment when I finish a layout and it looks great. You really have to plan everything before you glue b/c it's hard to move things around without tearing the paper. Good luck and have fun!!

Re: Wedding Scrapbook

I'm not very crafty, but I love doing the scrapbook stuff. I actually started a family one this year, and I intend to do a wedding one, beginning with some casual photos of us, and including prewedding parties through the honeymoon.

I've learned to just a have fun with it, b/c it will be awesome since it's something you did. Often times I do go to Michael's for fun decorative paper or stickers to add to the pages. Also, A.C. Moore is great too.

Have fun

Re: Wedding Scrapbook

When I first started scrapbooking, I thought it was hard too. Especially when I was trying to figure out how big to cut out the mattes for the photos. But after a few layouts you will definitely start to feel more comfortable. It just takes a little practice.

One thing I would suggest is to do a sketch of your layout beforehand. I'm talking about a very basic sketch, just so you can see where you will lay everything out. I find that very helpful. Also, Creating Keepsakes magazine is awesome. It has a lot of great tips and ideas.

If you need any help with anything, feel free to FM me.
