Re: New Years Eve wedding

My sister got married on New Year's Eve 2004-2005 at the Bourne Mansion...it was awesome...so much fun and I wish I had a wedding to go to every NYE!!! They are the best...don't even think twice...do it! I would have also but I have year end work at my job and could never get the first 2 weeks in Jan off for a HM and I don't believe in postponing the HM.

Re: New Years Eve wedding

My best friend got married at the West Sayville Country Club this past New Years Eve. It was awesome. Part of Lessings as well. I think it would be a great day to get married.

Re: New Years Eve wedding

I wanted one--we thought it would be great to have because we never really do anything on new years but then we found that some places won't let you book that day unless you buy every seat they would have sold for their new years party. Some places every year have them and don't want to give up their rooms for a wedding. We ended up booking for november & after all the holdiays realized that it would have been very stressful to have our wedding on new years.

I considered it. I found a lot of places weren't available b/c they host parties. My mother thought I was totally nuts.
