Looking to buy a color printer for DIY projects (need a new one anyway) Any recommendations?
We'd like to get an inkjet, since they are less expensive than a laser jet, but we want to make sure we get a good quality printer.we also don't want to fall into the trap of paying a low price for the printer up front, but it turning out to be a printer than DRINKS ink (toner) like water....
any suggestions...rants/raves, pros/cons.
TIA!

Ive always had good experiences with HP printers. I currently have two. One is a printer/scanners/copier and the other is a good photo printer.I think if you go and ask the salesguy at the store he will probably be able to tell you the best ink usage.

We got an Epson recently and it's SO amazing. We printed our STD's and invites on it! I'm not too sure of the number... maybe R420? But I can check when I get home today.

I used Epson R320... did our STD's on it also, came out great... (so I think) and plan on using it for DIY invites, and if we do CD favors it can print directly onto CD's

Espon Stylus Photo R200 - it uses six cartridges, but they all last a very long time and cost about $13 each.Best printer I've ever used. One toner was used for all the invitations (100) and STD's, and a lot of other projects.
Bought it at staples - best investment I've ever made.

I have an HP All-in-one and it's been great. I used it to scan the photos from the photobooth at WOTY to use for my STDs and it prints BEAUTIFUL photos. It has special cartriges for photos, and they just come out absolutely beautiful

My FH swears by HP. I have a Canon and he has an Epson and they are both crap. When we move in together, we're getting an all-in-one scanner, printer, copier from HP.Welcome New Vendors
