I am getting married in 12 days

and FMIL keeps asking to invite more people. I am so mad. She keeps pulling out these random people.

We asked her for her final list 3 months ago. and since then she keeps adding. Now it is 12 days before, this is soo rude!

Did you explain that the invitations went out months ago, the RSVP date has long past, and you already gave your headcount to the hall???

Doesn't see realize that there is absolutely NO WAY to send out invitations with the RSVP date expired & the wedding less then 12 days!!!

She knows we dont give the headcount untill Thursday, but I dont really care. I just spent 5 hours yesterday doing the seating arrangements and placecards. I said to FH to tell her no way! But it just makes me soo mad

The best defense is to have your FH tell her no and explain why. My FMIL kept wanting to add people and asked that we cut our HM spending down because she is worried about our finances- FH eventually got her to stop saying that she's taking money away from us- even if she pays for them- that's more money that can help us- not her add ons. Plus, add-ons might not be as generous with gifts so stand your ground!

Good luck! Maybe I'll see you at your final fitting! Mine is Thursday! It's almost over and we'll be on our HM!!

I know it must be annoying but try to just let it go, you have too many others things to worry about and get ready.

I wouldnt invite more people only because the people you are inviting now might think they are last minute fillers... Ya know? They might feel bad, when they really arent its just your FMIL effed up with her list... Im sorry if that sounded rude ( It wasnt supposed to be)

First of all, (IMO) that is really insulting to the guests she first wants to invite now....seeing as your wedding is only 12 days away (congrats, by the way!!!!) they will obviously know they were a last minute thought. Can you or FH tell your FMIL that?

This sounds like something my idiotic FMIL would do.......
