That is nuts! My Mom told me that she spent like $3,000.00 on her wedding in the 70's. Can you imagine....

The average altar-bound

woman is now 27 years old, (I turned 28 two weeks before my wedding)
her fiancé is 29, (DH turned 30 one month before the wedding)
will be engaged for a period of 14 months, (15 months for us)
their wedding will have 165 guests, (168 guests for us)

I think that is pretty close

I agree with you!!!!!!!! I am way over that, and I am budgeting like crazy! The RH along is costing FH and I more than that (but we are having about 250 people at the wedding).

When we did our budget we didn't count our rings at all... It's scary how much everything costs, and really sad that when a vendor knows it's a wedding as opposed to a party or something, they increase the prices!

Our guest # will be around that though!
