Calligrapher

In your opinions, is this a good price for a calligrapher:

1.60 and that is for the entire invitation- the outer and inner envelope. She will match my font and color.

Has anyone seen cheaper?

Or is it just a waste, and should I print them myself?

Thanks!

Re: Calligrapher

that's a very good price!! the cheapest (and by A LOT) that i had seen (and i quoted about 5 different people) was... $1.50 for the outer envelope and $0.50 for the inner. she also did placecards for 35 cents a piece.

she said it would take her about two weeks to complete all the calligraphy.

to me, it's a very nice touch and worth the money but whether to do them or not is up to you-- but IMO, they are worth it and from what i've seen, you are getting a good deal.

you should have seen the other prices i was getting quoted with!! up to $3.50 per invite!!!

good luck!!

Re: Calligrapher

This lady was recommended by my invitation lady. I even saw examples of her work and it looks FABULOUS!!! Her name is mary and she is located in bellmore.

I'll trust your opinion and use her. For some reason, I just do not like the way clear labels look..

If you want her phone number, let me know. I have it at home!

That's a good price. IMO, it's best to leave things to the professionals unless you have a really good printer and patience. I have neither, so I'm having someone print them up for me.

Is that hand calligraphy? If not, that's expensive.

Re: Calligrapher

I dont know, I wanted to get it done too but my SIL has really pretty penmanship so she is going to handwrite each envelope for me with a black gel pen. We just cant spend more $$$. It is crazy now.

I'm sure that will be beautiful! If i had somewhat decent penmanship or knew someone who did, i would probably go the same route!
