ING DIRECT

How many days just it take for money to transfer back into your checking acct.?

Also if you have been earning interest but havent made any withdrawals do you have to still file it when you do your taxes? Someone told me you don't but I just want to make sure.

Re: ING DIRECT

If you have earned interest you have to file it on your taxes, it gets deposited into your account so technically it's yours.

ETA: They should have sent you a 1099 interest form.

I think it moves on the same or following day but, I'm not 100% sure.

Re: ING DIRECT

Only if you earned OVER a specific amount of interest they will send you a 1099 form...

I just got my taxes done on Monday and that is what my CPA told me.

Re: ING DIRECT

You may not get a 1099 mailed to you, you may have to go online and print it out. That's what I did but I also don't do paper statements. They e-mail me everything.

Re: ING DIRECT

I also printed my 1099 from the website. As far as withdrawls, it took about 2 business days before I could withdraw the money.

Re: ING DIRECT

It usually takes 2 to 3 bus. days whenever I've transferred $. FYI you still have to pay taxes on interest.

Re: ING DIRECT

I love my ING acct!

It takes about 2-3 business days to transfer.

ING won't send you a 1099-INT if you had less than $10 in interest. But if you do have that interest--you have to download the 1099-INT from the website in your acct. info...and yes you have to report it on your income taxes, since they report the information to the gov't.
