Donation Favors- what to do?
For those brides who have given a donation in lieu of favors, how did you let your guests know what you had done? Should I put something at every place setting?? Or just one thing per table? If you could post pics, it would be so greatly appreciated.
TIA!

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
We are planning on either putting scrolls at each seat or putting nice frames at the table wtih the placecards stating where we are donating to.

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
we made a donation to the lance armstrong cancer fund... so we got a yellow 'livestrong' bracelet for everybody... we wrapped the bracelet up with a little tin of mints in tulle, and put a tag on it that explained the donation.... everyone LOVED the idea, and a lot of the guests still wear the bracelets even 7 months later! so it really was a great favor to do
good luck!

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
It depends on what you want to do...We decided to make up scrolls with a little poem to let our guests know what we did...Also bc the donation was made in memory of both my grandma & grandpa, we added a nice picture of them..We are then attaching the scrolls to 3x2x2 boxes filled w/Dove chocolate...Then we are giving them our per couple

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
We're doing a scroll at each place-setting. We donated to the Boston Children's Hospital, and they provide either scrolls or place-cards.I can't find any pics of them right now, but I do have a pic of each in my knot bio (cbear926).

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
we are donating to the amercian cancer society in memory of my grandpa. The scrolls are actually pretty expensive and we wanted to keep the donation at $500 so we are doing one scroll per couple.

I love your idea!
We're probably going to make up scrolls for each place setting; the organization we're donating to doesn't provide anything

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
FH and I wanted to donate to the American Cancer Society. We saw their scrolls and didn't like them very much though. I am going to make the scrolls with different wording, and put one on each plate, and we will just send the donation to them on our own. My mother also mentioned instead of scrolls, we could get (cheap) nice 3x5 or 4x6 frames and put the donation dedication in each of them for favors. When my friend got married she had 8x10 pucture frames on her seating card table along with donation envelopes incase anyone wanted to make an additional nominal donation as well.

Thank you so much for all of your responses. Did you use the recommended wording from wherever you donated, or did you word it yourselves?

We did one per table in a frame which doubled as the table number. The table number appeared in grey behind the text.

We are going to have the covered amonds in tulle and attach a small card to it explaining who we are donating to and why we have chosen to give them a donation.

Re: Donation Favors- what to do?
We had scrolls made up with an explanation of what we did (we haven't done it yet) and what that donation will help with. We actually got a good deal on the scrolls, so that worked well for us. Then we're gonna just by pink ribbon (not from any favor sites) from the store and tie one per plate and put them on the plates. That should be loads of fun...lol!

we just made up our own wording.... we wrote
' to honor our loved ones affected by cancer, a donation has been made to the Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation' and then put our names and the wedding date
