Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

Sorry if I am being a PIA about this!
I posted pics from my make-up trial with Mia yesterday. Overall I LOVED it and it was just what I was looking for. I wanted a somewhat natural look yet glamorous and something that would be special for my wedding.
Now that I've been looking at more of my pics, I am thinking that the eye-shadow on my browbone is too dark. The thing is, in person it looked great, but I'm worried that it will show up too dark in our wedding pictures. I never wear make-up and just need some input. I trust Mia *implicitly* but am not even sure what to ask for day of. Should I have her:
A-lighten the color on the browbone
B-not go so far up the browbone
C-am I being insane?!
I want it to look softer in pictures without sacrificing the way it looks in person! I think the color on my lids is great, brings out my eyes, etc...your input would be really appreciated!

In some of the pics I can see it, in others I can't

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

When you took the pictures it was probably right after she applied the makeup. You have to remember that the makeup needs time to settle and in turn blend together.

I think the colors are absolutely complimentary and you look stunning.

If it'll put you at ease, I'd go with one shade lighter. Otherwise, don't touch a thing, b/c by the time you take the pics for the day of, the makeup would have settled and gotten more of a 'toned-down' glow.

ETA: same thing for me w/the eyeshadow...here's a pic right after and a few hours later:

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

I agree. The makeup will tone down after a little while, because of settling. If you go TOO light, it will look like you have nothing by the end of the evening. Maybe talk to Mia to get her perspective! She will know the 'staying power' of the makeup she uses better than anyone!

I think it looks great....but if it makes you more comfortable....tell her a little lighter.

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

Thanks for your input. I *really* appreciate it b/c like I said I am totally clueless about make-up!

I'm looking at a few pictures I took last night around 11 and I still see that line of demarcation more than I want to. Do you think it would make a difference if it was blended more at the edge? OK, that was my LAST question!

IMHO: it's blended well...i think if you decide on changing anything, to go with a lighter shade

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

I think the make-up looks great! If you feel unsure , maybe you can meet with her again before the wedding so she can try different colors on you. If you can, you might be able to find something that you like better or she can explain why she used the darker colors in that area.

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

Honestly, it looks great- you are probably just not used to it. If you trust your person then it'll be fine. They should know just the right touch to be sure it looks good in person and in pics. Usually with professional pics you need a little more- it'll look different than your home camera. Maybe you just want to change shades? Ask Mia to be sure but I think it's great. Natural yet defining! Very pretty!

I think you are right that I'm just not used to it! Also someone I know mentioned it to me (without me asking) so I got all paranoid!

I'm gonna bring my pics when I see Mia and we'll discuss!

thanks again, you guys are truly the best!!

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

Honestly, I love how she did your makeup!! It looks amazing on you, but you have to feel comfortable with it. On the day of the wedding just let her know that you want it more subtle... then she can always add more!

WOW, I am so surprised that you said that. I thought it looked natural, sophisticated. You looked so pretty. Not overly make up at all. I thought it looked wonderful on you either indoor or with natural light.

Your pics helped me make my final decision on picking mia for my trial :(

Gosh it sounds like I am hitting you...

okay. well i havent read the others' responses..but i am so glad you wrote about this. i saw your pics the other day and honestly.... that was my only criticism but i didnt want to say anything. isee it more in the first couple pics.

perhaps just use a light color on the brow bone?????
it did seem like the color was too dark up high... but other than that..you look awesome!!!!!!!

aw shucks, you're making me feel bad!
seriously, I LOVED the trial. I even loved the color on my brow bones. The pics are the only thing throwing me off! If I had her change anything it would be very minor...just toning down the color slightly. But I'm gonna talk to her about it and see what she thinks. Mia does amazing work and I am SO relieved to have booked her

Ducks, thanks for posting your pics. They are lovely and I remember seeing them..the colors are gorgeous & you look bee-yoo-tiful! I guess part of it is I never really looked at people's brow bone make-up before

prunepie thanks for your honesty. At least I'm not completely insane - or else you are right there with me

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

lr..... i might just be right there with you lol

i have an ultra critical eye... again..in the last pics i dont see anything out of place at all...its just the first two pics that i would say to use a lighter color on brown bone..but leave the rest of the eye exactly the same!!! can you call the makeup lady and just ask to re try the eye..and then post pics to do a side by side comparison???

OK. After showing your pics to FH, we both came to same conclusion.

Jenn is right. You just need to lighten just below the brows with a lighter color.

Re: Need your honest opinion re: something w/ my make-up trial

I couldn't agree with Christine more. You need to let your makeup 'settle in'. I think it looks great exactly the way it is, but if it makes you feel better, I would go a shade lighter.
