What a disappointing day looking for MOB dresses

We went to a few places that were recommended to my mother by various people she works with...what a big FAT waste of time

The first place was in Queens and was a complete disaster...the second place was in Lynbrook where the people who worked there were so completely obnoxious that I had to walk away and then we went to another place in Floral Park where they could have cared less about our business!

I guess its back to Lillettes for my mom and I!

That does stink! I have to say the one thing I dreaded was looking for MOB dress b/c my mom would only go with me. It eventually turned out okay, but I understand what you are going through!

Kathleen, you should have your mom try Renates here in Lindenhurst. They have a big selection & are very nice. My FMIL started there...

Kathleen, you should have your mom try Renates here in Lindenhurst. They have a big selection & are very nice. My FMIL started there...

I think my mother is going to get the one she saw in Lillettes...we are also bringin Grandma there on Sunday too!

Awww. Kathleen.. Im so sorry. My mom got a gdress for my brothers wedding at Paradise Bridals in patchogue, and the dress for my wedding at the Bridal Suite in Bay Shore.

Paradise Bridals has a great selection.

Thanks Ladies!

Its a little hard because my mom is very modest, petite (5 '1)but is also apple shaped...she had a bigger upperbody than lower body....I feel bad that the places were went today are like well you know you need something to cover 'that up' meaning her stomach!!! That made me upset...it was just rude!

Sorry to hear about the place in floral park. I know exactly which one you are talking about. We got my gown there, all the BM dresses and both MOB dresses there. I'm so sorry!!!

My MOB got her dress at Estelles and the grooms mother got her dress at Bella Vie in Lynbrook.

I am so sorry that you had a disappointing time...my mom is shaped the same & we found her a dress at The Bridal Garden in Bethpage! Also Totally You in Wantagh is a nice place...Don't give up hope
