bridal shower question

How soon to the shower should the invites go out? I know my shower is April 30th, and my mom wanted to send her invites out March 30th. But I wanted to send my wedding invites out sometime the week of April 8th (so April 8-14). Is this enough time apart, or should we have my mom send out the shower invites befor March 30th?

A month before sounds right for the shower invites. I think there is enough time between the shower invites and the wedding invites.

PS- I know about my shower- BY ACCIDENT- no one but FH knows I know, BUT it is on April 30th too

Yeah, mine is in MA, and FH and I live in MD, so I had to know when it was. Now if it were in NY, we go often enough that they could surprise me. But there's no way we would drive 8 hours to MA on a whim.
