Anyone have any opinions or reviews about Lombari's on the Sound in Port Jeff?

A girl I work with just got married there a month ago. She said the staff was phenominal, the food was plentiful and tasty, and it was a beautiful location.

I am having my wedding there and so far it has been a pretty good experience. I think it is gorgeous.... esp. the cocktail hour room that looks right out on the water. The menu is amazing and the food is delicious. You don't even have to worry about adding extras because there is so much included.
We had one scheduling problem...we are having a day wedding and they told us it could start a half hour later so that I had time for pictures. Then , they called and said they couldn't do it because they needed time to set up for the night wedding. But, my dad called and they took care of it and were VERY nice about it....saying not to worry and that everything will be perfect that day.
It is very expensive for a night wedding. But, we booked a sat. day wedding and it was $109 pp (without tax and gratuity). I think the day is nice though, since you can enjoy the water view for the whole wedding.

I was just talking about their AWESOME Bridal Expo that they have there. I went to it last year and thought it was SUCH a beautiful place... and REALLY good food! (and I found my videographer there!)

Anyone know when this year's bridal expo is at Lombardi's on the Sound?

We looked at it and the view is amazing. But I cancelled it out because of the price (I wanted a Sat night wedding) and because in December the sun sets and you can't really see the beautiful view. Also, I don't think my FH liked the idea that the reception room was 'inside' the cocktail area and that it felt a little small. It's a beautiful place though, definitely worth checking out.
