Not wedding related...but I am so pissed off

I had a appointment with the obgyn. I get to the office and the snotty receptioist tells me that the doctor cancelled all jer appointments for the day. So then I said well since I am already here can I see another doctor. She then told me that everyone was booked sloid. She then proceeded to tell me that they left messages on everyones machine...which was not the case becaue I get home and there are no messages. Whn I asked the receptionist to rebook a date she wanted me to wait another month.

Sorry...I am just so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone recommend me a new doctor

Yeah that is very frustrating. Did they tell you why all theappointments were cancelled? Maybe the Dr. had some kind of emergency, they are normal people just like us you know. Anyway if this was the first time the office upset you maybe you should give them another shot. Also a lot of times you can get an appointment ASAP if you call and ask if there were any cancelations. There is almost ALWAYS cancelations the day of. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

or, you should email your doctor directly and say that you are taking your business elsewhere because of the bad attitude of the receptionist.

I would call back and demand an appointment asap. There is no reason that you should have to suffer for the office incompetence.

Tell them that you are going to be a patient elsewhere if you cannot be accomodated.

Jeez, if they left a message on your machine do they think that you would be standing in front of her at the office?

Omg, that is soooooooo wrong!!!!!!!! I can't believe you're trying to do the right thing and get your check-ups and all that and they're giving you the run-around!!!!!!!! Hopefully you'll find a better doctor who won't just up and cancel appts at the last minute!!! GL!!!!

Not to hijack your thread or anything, but something similar happened to me last week. I waited a FULL month for this appointment, and then when I got there they told me the MD was on vacation!!! Umm, hello, didn't the snotty little receptionist know that when I booked the appointment??? I specifically said I wanted to see the MD and not the phycisian's assistant.

I got to Dr. Michael Polcino. His office is in North Babylon. They are wonderful there. I have been his patient for years...He use to be a part of the SouthBay OBGYN in West Islip, but broke off into his own practice...

That stinks bigtime! I have switched doctors many times b/c of their hours and their 'unavailability'...keep the search up and you'll find someone to accomodate your needs.

Where do you live around because I have a recommendation and you don't have to wait a month. I called for an appointment and set it up within two weeks.
