Flower Girl Dress Question..

I will most probably buy an ivory silk dress with a black sash (to match the black BMs dresses). If my BMs were any other color but black, I probabaly would have the FG match them but black on a little girl is a bit morbid. I like the dresses at www.goldengiraffe.com

Flower Girl Dress Question..

my flowergirl is wearing an ivory dress that has a red sash (the color of the BM dresses). I just liked the ivory better since she's so young. Had she been older I probably would have gone with the BM color.

Our Flowergirl...

was in a dress that was an exact match to the BMs. The BM`s dresses were made by Bill Levkoff, and there is a dressmaker that can make Levkoff dresses (and a few others) in children`s sizes. My sister-in-law (MOH) didn`t want to take anything away from me by having my niece dress like a mini-bride, and I was actually glad to hear her say that, because I didn`t want her to be dressed as a mini-bride either. I wanted her dressed like the ladies who stood up for me. Plus, I think she had a lot of fun being dressed just like mommy. My niece looked absolutely adorable, and I wouldn`t have done it any other way. Of course, the dress didn`t come cheap. She wasn`t even 5 yet, but her dress cost almost as much as the adult dresses, so I insisted and paid half. Whatever you choose, the children always look adorable and capture people`s attention! (As it should be).

Our Flowergirl...

My Flowergirl was my 2 1/2 yr. old goddaughter, and was in white, but not a mini version of me. She was partnered w/my 2 1/2 yr. old nephew, who wore a black tux. But my Jr. Bridesmaid (her 10 1/2 yr. old sister) wore a slight variation of my BM's (they were in Victorian Lilac and the JBM wore lavendar). I got her dress really cheap in Estelle's for $49. They had a good selection and the prices were right. Around Easter, you could check out the dept. stores, because they have a lot of 'fancy' dresses at reasonable prices!
