Any Ideas for getting married on the beach?

I am having a june wedding and we would like to have the ceromony on the ocean? The only thing is we don't know where to start. Does anyone have any Ideas of any catering halls that might do this. Thanks for your help.

Any Ideas for getting married on the beach?

Try the one at Jones Beach, I think its called Oceanview (http://www.visitjonesbeach.com/) - They are suppose to be remodeling it...there is a link to that somewhere on this site... Or there is the Pavillion at Sunken Meadow, they are a lessing facility (www.lessing.com)..its nice, check out the website, there are pictures... Or there is Atlantica/Tierra Mar (EXPENSIVE!) out in the hamptons... (www.ontheatlantic.com) - but it is absolutely amazing... We also called Smiths Point to get married there (dont know if they do catering - we just wanted ceremony) but we went out there this weekend, and its yucky - not as pretty as it use to be and no beach left. We are still in search of the beach we will be married at with reception to follow elsewhere...GOOD LUCK. Let us know where you choose!

The Crescent (in Bayville) is right on the beach. I didn't look there, so I don't know about ceremonies on the beach.

local beaches...

you can check out with the different towns about having the ceremony on one of the beaches... just an idea...its not the ocean, but centerport(huntington) beach may do this, and vanderbilt planiterium is very just down the road (1/4 mile) and you can have the reception there.. Im getting married at Lands End...the ceremony will overlook the Bay to Fire Island... other places on water: John Anthonys Harbor Club Cheteau LaMer Swan Club San Souci
