NWR: Need an idea for gift

My parents 35th wedding anni is May. My sis and i sorta want to send them away somewhere. My mom doesnt fly and i dont have alot of money.

They went to Boston last yr so that is out. Any ideas???????? Has anyone been to any noce resorts etc lately?

What about Cape May? Send them to one of the B&B's, get a GC to a seafood restaurant.

We just went to Mohegan Sun this weekend and it was great. We are not big gamblers, but had fun playing slots and walking around, checking out the shops, etc. Also did a spa treatment while there, and had use to the gym, heated indoor pool, etc. There are shows that are there too, but nothing good this past weekend. And the restaurant choices were decent.

Another suggestion would be a nice bed and breakfast near maybe the Catskills, Lake George, Niagara Falls or an area in Pennsylvania with activities nearby. Or maybe the Poconos.

Just some suggestions. They are all driving distances. Good luck

There is a B&B in Mystic, CT that FH and I LOVE! Mystic is really nice and has a lot of stuff to do, and the B&B is just made for relaxing. Plus, the guy who owns it is a CIA chef and the breakfasts are AWESOME! Plus he leave out homemade fudge. FM me if you want info.

What about a weekend stay at Gurneys and treat them to a couples' spa treatment?

I don't know what you think of Vermont, but they have a nice place in Manchester called the Eqinox hotel. The town is beautiful and so is the hotel.

Also, The Marriott Marquee in the city has a great deal called the Getaway package. It includes one night stay, Dinner at the View (Rotating Restaurant). Chocolate and Champangne in the room, and a great buffet Breakfast in the morning. (tons of food). It cost us $387 and about $420 with tax. We went to see a play as well.

Also, Ocean City Maryland. It was a easy drive, about 5 hours. What a great beach area and boardwalk. Lots of places to eat and shop.

I second Newport, RI! I've heard wonderful things, the sites are amazing and we're going there the weekend of the wedding as our first honeymoon!
